The Cordial Churchman Bow Ties
I recently discovered The Cordial Churchman, a web site specializing in custom made bow ties (they'll even create one out of an old neck tie if you send it in!). It's pretty hard to go wrong with custom made bow ties for $26.
“You Can’t Wear White Shoes After Labor Day”
Time to put away the bucks until next year, I'll miss you my friends. I attempted to dig up some information on the history of this deeply American custom and came across this, relatively vague, piece.
The Resoling of Maine Hunting Shoes
My Maine Hunting Shoes are on the verge of collapse; I think my dad picked them up in the early 80s, the leather is beautifully worn and soft as a silk bag full of rabbit ears. Unfortunately, the soles are pretty ragged. Luckily, LL Bean offers repairs and I found some really cool images of the entire revival process here.
Sperry Top-Siders
Gotta love the Sperry Top-Siders: my favorites are my tri-colored blue/white/red ones that I might need to replace soon...
Typewriter Cufflinks
I've always wanted cufflinks made of human molars in homage to the Great Gatsby - unfortunately, they are harder to come by, save killing someone and stealing their molars. I guess these will have to do.
