Fee Brothers Bar Cocktail Bitters Complete Set
The first step to any good cocktail is obviously bitters. Fee Brothers can't be beat (unless in a competition with Bitterman Bitters, in which case they have been beat... but not when it comes to offering such a nice selection in one cohesive package).
Untitled: An Incredible Film
This movie has been a recent obsession of mine. The writing and concept behind it are brilliant. Pick up a copy if you can.
CORNELIUS APPLEJACK
I came across this stuff at our local spirits store: 'Sipperley's Grog Shop.' I can't even begin to describe how good it is. Made right here in the Hudson Valley, they say that each bottle is distilled from over 60lb of apples and you can taste it. As an added bonus, if you bring the empty bottle back to their orchard, they present you with a free shot glass!
Monadnock Sugarhouse Maple Syrup
Monadnock Sugarhouse Maple Syrup and Stonewall Kitchen Farmhouse Pancake and Waffle Mix. Amazing and just in time for autumn.
The Wall Street Journal
The Wall Street Journal is, and will continue to be, my favorite newspaper. I went on a mini-tirade this morning when I discovered that someone had misappropriated my copy from where its delivered to the apartment.
Wild Turkey Bourbon 101 Proof
With the weather gradually getting colder -- especially nights around the Hudson Valley -- Wild Turkey is almost impossible to keep stocked in our bar. You seriously can't go wrong beginning a night with a tumbler full of this on the rocks, condensation sweating all sides of the glass, and Coltrane playing in the background.
Sir Kensington Gourmet Ketchup
The only Ketchup that isin't filled with nuclear waste. The only ketchup I've ever had was the in-house made stuff at my favorite upstate restaurant, Flat Iron, and Sir Kensington.
Northeast Kingdom Mustard
Northeast Kingdom Mustard: Best mustard out there, which is pretty significant coming from someone who has a general distaste for mustard in general. Made in Vermont.
New York Magazine
Lindsay Lohan's Marilyn-inspired photo-shoot was excellent. I love New York Magazine.
